More about me
I didn’t set out to become obsessed with nutrition and functional health. But as I learned more and experimented on myself, I realized that what I ate was directly tied to how I felt. For years, I woke up with swollen, sore hands and assumed it was just “normal.” When I started making small, intentional changes to my food, my body responded and I felt lighter, stronger, and more energized. That was my first big insight: sometimes, we don’t even realize how unwell we’ve been feeling until we start to feel better.
As I worked with patients recovering from shoulder, back, and pelvic pain, I began to see the same patterns. Some people weren’t going to fully heal through physical therapy alone, they needed nutritional support and a more comprehensive approach to wellness. As a physical therapist, I knew my training in nutrition was limited. That’s why I pursued advanced certifications in functional medicine and nutrition, so I could provide the kind of whole-person care my patients truly needed.
Now, here’s the real talk: it’s hard to “get your stuff together” and even harder to keep it together. I don’t have it all figured out either, but I do know how to help you focus on what matters most, so you can start moving in the right direction and actually feel the difference.
The best motivation comes when you notice yourself feeling less weighed down, less achy, less “off.” And eventually, you start feeling good. Really good. I used to joke, “I have a lot of potential…to look good, feel good, have more energy, get more done.” But I’ve learned that potential isn’t the point, progress is. Small steps, within real-life barriers, add up to meaningful change.
At Obsidian Insight, I blend my clinical expertise with functional medicine to help women redefine what wellness feels like. I’ll always be a mix of realism and humor, but underneath it all, my goal is simple: to help you uncover your strength, trust your body, and thrive in every season of life.
